P lease subscribe to the blog or follow us on Twitter or on our Facebook page to keep up to date. (You can also read this blog in a different language, please use the tool in the sidebar). The cake design beautiful cake design park of Monte Gorde in São Nicolau is visited by many tourists, but unfortunately there are no facilities for them, so they simply pass through the small village and the community receives no benefit cake design from their visit .  Encouraged by the Peace Corps Volunteer living there, one enterprising individual has decided to open a cafe and to produce home made jams to sell to visitors.  SOS Tartarugas was delighted to be asked to participate in this project and sponsored the menus and labels for the products.  In this way we can help the community and also get across a message about the need to preserve nature and the community has a way to generate income to help improve conditions.
Our beautiful dog, Rasher, the project mascot, was killed with strychnine which was placed close to the hatchery by a department of health worker who states it was requested by the manager of the RIU hotel. This disgusting practice still continues. You can help. Follow this link to join the campaign. cake design http://life-on-sal.blogspot.com/

Jacquie Cozens Santa Maria, Sal Island, Cape Verde I am a wildlife film-maker who moved to Sal in 2007. I intended to make a film about the marine life here and in particular, turtles. When all I ever saw was nesting loggerheads cruelly slaughtered on the beach, I co-founded the organisation SOS Tartarugas in 2008. SOS Tartarugas is a non-profit NGO dedicated to the protection of turtles. View my complete profile
