And, thank you, Helen! I should enjoy my good jewelry and wear it more! I think my mom has put the f

Well Played, Charlene of Monaco - Go Fug Yourself: Because Fugly Is The New Pretty
It’s nice to be giving props to Princess Sadface rather than bemoaning how sad she looks — girls night out hence the name — and brainstorming people who could help her flee the country. I just read the old Andrew Morton secretly-authorized Princess Diana book, and I’ve decided that Charlene and Albert are going through the old Chuck ‘n’ Di We Only Appear In Public Together When They Make Us, Which Is More Often Than We’d Like, And Wow, We Both Regret Getting Into This thing. Here’s hoping it ends way, way better girls night out for them, at least.
She looks great! I wish she’d girls night out strive for a look like this more often.

Not only is that shade of purple just divine on her, but her hair looks fantastic. She finally put some volume in it. She’s like me, flat hair that doesn’t look good in its natural, just laying there state. We need to turn up the volume for anything close to va va voom. Well played, indeed. See you all in Paris!
It’s amazing to me how happy and fabulous she looks when she’s by herself! This dress is gorgeous and she looks amazing in it! Great color and fit! Beautiful jewelry as well! WELL PLAYED!
And, I don’t know if I’m wrong about this, but I personally wish she doesn’t have children with Albert because girls night out I feel like it would be better if their “relationship” is doomed! And it still saddens me what happened to Princess Grace, whom Charlene reminds me so much of! I think she’s lovely and want her to be happy! She should leave him, stay in Paris and bankroll the Fug Compound! She could be our House Director or something and give us swimming lessons every Saturday before Intern George cleans the pool… Paris? Charlene? Champagne? YES!
Monaco changed their constitution in 2002 to remove girls night out the necessity of direct line descendants from a male heir. Princess Caroline is first in line of succession girls night out and her son, Andrea, is second. They changed the constitution because, prior to the change, if Albert had died without legitimate heirs, Monaco girls night out would have become a protectorate of France. France ratified the change in 2005, after Rainier died and Albert became Prince of Monaco.
I got caught up in a Wikipedia Whirlwind yesterday reading up on royal houses, principalities and duchies that no longer girls night out exist. I find it amazing that the Monagesque royal family as an actual political power is still a thing.
That may be in their contract or prenuptial agreement, who knows? But then she’d be linked to him forever! Unless it also means that she will have a royal title and have access to the royal money forever, even if she leaves him, because she’s the mother to the heir! Maybe that’s been the plan all along… I don’t know her life!
Yup. I think she always looks heavily medicated. I get the impression that she may be a bit high maintenance and the Grimaldi’s are going to have a time with her. (Mind you, that bunch can’t girls night out cast stones…) I can’t muster too much sympathy; she was with Albert for a long time before they married and she’s no naive young thing, so she knew what she was getting into.
I also love seeing the jewels. So many choose not to raid their giant vaults full of fantastic sparkly things. If I had access to everything the royal families do, I’d be in full tiara all day everyday. girls night out Grocery shopping? Yep. Vacuuming? Sure. Heading to the GFY compound? Absolutely.
Am I the only paranoid one who rarely wears her expensive jewelry for fear of it being broken, lost or stolen? I’ve heard so many heartbreaking stories from other people, including my mom (who has her real wedding ring set on a safe, since our house was broken into decades ago, and wears a substitute that doesn’t mean anything to her)! Sad, I know! But, my dad still wears his real wedding band! I just need more occasions to wear mine safely, I guess!
I have quite a bit of nice jewelry (and a husband who enjoys buying pretty things almost as much as I enjoy wearing it. I’m lucky!) and I wear most of the pieces all the time. I guess I figure what’s girls night out the point in having it if you’re afraid to wear and enjoy it? I regularly take things in to have prongs checked, clasps replaced and all of it covered girls night out by my homeowners insurance.
Oh, honey, WEAR your jewelry. Yes, it is sad to keep it in storage, never to be seen. It’s like plastic on the furniture, awaiting an occasion that never comes – what, aren’t YOU special enough to have nice things?
And, thank you, Helen! I should enjoy my good jewelry and wear it more! I think my mom has put the fear in me since I was a kid that if I treasure something, I should hide it from the world! I have and wear nice things, but I should REALLY enjoy them, right?
