21 November 2013: Meet 19-year-old Charlene, from Tacloban in the Philippines, who is living in a temporary shelter after her home was washed wedding poems away by Typhoon Haiyan. The only thing that remains is the kitchen counter. The rest is gone.
Early in the morning, everyone in my neighbourhood gathered in the building and in only a few minutes, the second floor was packed. We didn t have time to grab our things, so all I had was the clothes I was wearing and a pair of shoes, she said. People are starting to get sick
I am now living in a temporary plastic shelter with my dad, aunts and my brothers, together with another 6 families who lived in the same neighbourhood. People are starting to get sick. All we need right now are clothes, food, water and medicine. Staying strong
