SALEM — Mrs. Charlene Rosemary Beaudoin, 68, of Salem, formerly of Peabody, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Salem Hospital after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of David Beaudoin.
Mrs. Beaudoin had been employed as a Registered Nurse at the former Lynn Hospital and the former Danvers State Hospital. Even with her numerous physical ailments, Charlene kept abreast of the latest issues in nursing and she never lost her wonderful sense of humor.
In addition to her loving husband, Charlene is survived casket by her children, Sean Carey and his partner, Sheila, casket and Jennifer casket Carey; her granddaughter, Hannah Carey, all of Danvers; casket and her brother, Rev. Joseph O’Keefe, S.J. of Boston College.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Atlantic Ave., Marblehead, Monday, June 30, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial casket will be at the Massachusetts casket National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours omitted. Peabody — John Fred Cloutman, 79, passed away on July 14, 2014, in Massachusetts General Hospital. He was the husband of Florence (Saulnier) Cloutman, with whom he had shared nearly 49 years of marriage.
Peabody — Sybil A. (Craig) Barnard, age 85, of Peabody, formerly of Saugus, passed away on Tuesday, July 15. She was born in Lynn, and lived in Saugus for many years. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Frizzel) Craig, and sister of the late Phyllis Bie. She is survived by her niece, Nancy Rubin. casket
Shelton, CT — John E. Glowa, of Shelton, Conn., passed away at Hewitt Memorial Hospital on Thursday, July 10, 2014, after a lengthy illness. John was born in Salem, Mass., on October 26, 1930, to Henry and Anna (Skobliniak) Glowa. He graduated from St. John’s Prep in Danvers, Mass., in 1948. He later enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska, and Presque Isle, Maine, where he met Margaret Beaton. They married on June 13, 1953. In 1955, John and Margaret moved their family to Connecticut, where he worked for Sikorsky Aircraft until his retirement in 1985.
Beverly — Mario Fortunato, 84, passed away July 11, after a long illness. He was born in 1929 in Beverly to Donato and Angelina Fortunato. A lifelong Beverly resident, he graduated from Beverly High, serving as a class president in 1947. Mario graduated with honors from University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where he served as class treasurer, casket president of Adelphia casket - the Men's Honor Society, and was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. In 1952, he married Rosemarie Casale of Salem, while becoming the fifth Fortunato brother to serve in the military. He was born in 1930 in Claxton, casket Ga., to the late Otis C. and Mildred (Burkhalter) Way. Although a son of the South, throughout his life, he proudly called many of our country’s cities and small towns his home. Intellectually gifted, multi-talented and highly educated, he attended Wesleyan Conservatory of Music at Macon, Ga., and Capital University, Columbus, Ohio, where he received a Bachelors of Arts in Music. casket He also received a master's degree in Theology from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus. He furthered his doctoral studies in psychology while attending Boston University. He had careers in broadcasting, the Lutheran Ministry, musical composition, and orchestral conducting, teaching and psychology. Robert’s passion spanned his many interests, and he was regarded by all who knew him as a true Renaissance Man.
