Charlene teamed the top with skinny pants and brown thigh-high, heeled boots which are different from her other brown thigh-high boots (the others are flat, big difference, you know!). Char kept her makeup to a minimum and wore no jewelry. On a different day, Charlene was seen attending John Button's funeral along with Prince Albert. John is the father of Jenson Button the F1 champion wedding makeup and a Rallycross driver himself. He had been living wedding makeup his later years in Monaco.
I like that Pauline mixed black with gold, I dislike the length, though. But she's 19, I guess I can give that a pass, kudos for the yellow purse as well. Stephanie's outfit wedding makeup would count as business-chic if it didn't have the plunging neckline, wedding makeup now it counts -for me- as dressy wedding makeup Stephanie. Charlene wore Akris for the night. The blue double-face wedding makeup cashmere coat (I personally thought wedding makeup it was satin) was worn on top of honeycomb St. Gallen foil embroidery sheath.
Embroidered tulle with shiny appliqués. Crepe back with hidden zip. Asymmetric neckline; wedding makeup sleeveless. Tulle shoulders and back yoke. Thigh-high side slits. Hem falls below knee. Slim sheath silhouette. Polyester/viscose/polyurethane. Made in Italy. You can buy it from HERE You might notice that the dress on Neiman is lined in nude while Charlene's is in blue. I guess that might be a lesson Char learned from Moscow's trip?
I really like the neckline of the dress and think it really deserves another outing. Char wore soft makeup and her heart-shaped stud diamond earrings. Finally, wedding makeup on her birthday, the Princess of Monaco attended the presentation of the book "KZN, Land of Dreams" and signed copies of it. The book is a part of Charlene's birthday celebrations and aims to provide the Monegasque people a look at where their princess comes from.
For the event, Charlene repeated her Akris white suit with peplum detail that she first wore in November . With almost no makeup, Char kept it simple with just a pair of pearl earrings! P.S: Don't forget to vote in the poll on the left side to decide which princess to be added on the radar!

Today we welcome bookbinder and book artist Charlene Matthews to the Library as Incubator happy birthday sms Project. Charlene’s recent Ulysses -inspired project happy birthday sms caught my attention several weeks ago and I knew we had to reach out to her to talk about books, literature, and how they inspire her creative life and work. Enjoy. ~ Laura
Charlene Matthews (CM): I m a professional bookbinder/book artist, with a Bindery happy birthday sms in Hollywood California. I have been in my shop front for 14 years, and began binding about 28 years ago. Along with my Book Art, I do restoration, box making and work in various levels of bookmaking in the entertainment and art fields. I realized early on in order to excel in my own book art I had to bind everyday, to learn all facets of the craft, opening a bindery made all the sense in the world. It has been an education.
I do a lot of photography that I use in my book art, I have various types of cameras, mostly handmade pinholes and I dark room myself. Plus, I love to make shadow boxes, that contain objects that correspond with my books. I rarely happy birthday sms use any type of computer happy birthday sms generation.
LAIP: In your work as a book artist, literature clearly plays an important role in defining your subject and the way you create the work. Have libraries – their spaces, collections, and/or the people who work in libraries – played a significant role in your creative development?
CM: I have been a voracious reader from early on, I used to sit across from my Mother while she was reading and learned to read upside down. In Junior High I was given a pass to the High School Library, as I had read every book. I was then given an adult pass to the Public Library when I had read all those books. I wish I could say a particular librarian had influence over my reading but I was following my own senses. When I went to London at 20, I discovered a whole new library type system and was known to have a least a dozen chits to check out books, one was issued only three. Also, the books in the London Libraries were of very different authors. I feel very comfortable in a library.
All this reading has put a lot of stories in my head, and I ve digested them into pictures and maps. Subconsciously my book art creates some of those maps. I am drawn to words, a story and smell. The words fragment into graphics and photos, the story into maps, the smell into the materials I use.
LAIP: The Ulysses project was quite an undertaking. Can you tell us a little bit about how you arrived at the idea for the project, the sort of planning that goes in to such a project? For example, happy birthday sms in a really practical sense, how were you able to gauge how many poles you’d need for the text?
CM: The Ulysses project came about through a project I was invited to participate in, and required me to do a sculptural piece. Being a book artist, with this idea I had in my head that sculpture used the space outside the object and book art used the space within, I was torn. I did have this pole in my backyard that had been leaning against a wall doing nothing for years from a previous bindery job, and I was also at the time reading The Complete Short Stories of JG Ballard.
JG Ballard (the oldest known futurist) was known to have aluminum happy birthday sms palm trees in his house and so the pole leaning against the wall just made sense, write one of his stories on the pole. I thought he would have agreed to that. I picked the shortest story from the book, and it really is not that good of a story, as I had a hard time completing it. It was just not interesting. But I did test out pens and different styles of writing on that pole.
I knew it would take quite a few poles, I took the Ballard pole amount of pages and calculated the 610 pages of the Shakespeare Co. Edition and came to about 37-40 poles. I found a local supply for them, as they are made for ship building, non warpable. The 2 x 7 pole is not that common, and I got the lumber yard to agree to supply me at least 40 poles throughout time. I bought them two at a time (they come in 14 lengths). I went on a pen hunt. I knew a gel pen was best on the wood, and found Pentel had a new gel pen that was archival waterproof and lightfast. So I was ready to go, and it just so happened to be a few days to the day Joyce finished happy birthday sms Ulysses .
After the first two poles, I knew it would be 38 poles. I kept calculating non-stop as I was writing as a game, but it still came to 38 poles. One pole has 12 pages on it and another has 22 pages depending on the gaps of paragraphs, 16 pages was the average. I never once got tired of the process, as I was always adapting the writing method. Ways to write and turn the poles without hurting my hands and back.
Perhaps the poles are sculpture and also book art. They work on the space inside and outside, much like nature. As I was writing, my eyes would look up to the words, and I would see pictures formed by the letters.

I don’t like this either videographer because, like you said, it’s too bulky and heavy. Also, I have a similar build to her–almost 6 feet, with broad shoulders–and crewnecks are NOT our friends. They only make a broad-shouldered woman look like she plays for the 49ers.
I wondered the same thing. (Hee – “resting sad face.”) I also wonder if that’s something your PR person can help you overcome. It would involve hours of practice looking not-sad when going about your daily business. Perhaps someone would jump out in front of you with a mirror on occasion to show you what your face is doing?
Re ‘resting sad face’ (great term!) I once read a magazine article where Rose Byrne siad that she had a face that was solemn in repose and looked sad even when she was not. Maybe Princess Charlene has that kind of face too. Or maybe she is an introvert doing her best in all those public ‘people’ occasions and the camera videographer captures that secret meditative side of her somehow?
Oh my goodness. THAT’S who he reminds me of! Thank you for solving this mystery for me, and now I wonder if that’s videographer what gives Charlene her sad face. “I married Martin Vanger!! NOOOOOOO.”
I’m too short to pull this off with any elan, but it looks lovely. And can we use the princess as a model for all American television females to consider: videographer see? Fabulous SHORT hair. Elegant. And we can see her face!
I think the skirt’s effect is a little heavy, even with her height, but it IS a beautiful garment. And going simple with her tops, with such a strong statement piece, was definitely the thing to do.
In which Charlene sees one perfect silver lining to her one perfect tear marriage: at least if she’s going to be (allegedly) miserable, she can be glamorous about it.
That skirt and her face are fantastically lovely. She looks like a dream. Of sadness, like the Snow Queen. When on earth is she going to have a baby, everyone must be thinking. He’s got to be 60 by now.
Reading your comment, mary lou, I thought, “60? No, he can’t be that age yet.” On my way to finding out that he is 55 (older than I thought!), I came across this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Albert_(genital_piercing)

I love it! It looks like something I’d wear. Although it would get all bunchy at the waist or drag in the snow or something or my hair would start to frizz and it wouldn’t look nearly so perfect.

Kristin
She looks fabulous, but can we talk about the prince? His tie seems to be emblazoned with kick lines of penguins. This is a head of state, albeit a small state. Perhaps more importantly, this is the child of Grace Kelly. In a novelty holiday tie???
Perhaps the tie is a homage to the Olympic bobsled event, and he is poking fun at himself when he wears it, since penguins are sledding. If so, he may be slightly less of a douchebag than I thought — at least he has a sense of humor. Considering the event was child-oriented, it could be considered appropriate, even if he is a head of state.
I like the construction-paper “MON…ACO” heart he is sporting in the middle photo, videographer too. I’m guessing one of the kids gave it to him? I love that he’s wearing it…maybe videographer she does just have resting sad face and he is indeed not the douchebag we all assumed (or perhaps is *no longer* the DB, given his history). This gives me hope for a reasonably content ending videographer for them after all. And of course I covet both the awesome tartan skirt and the height to wear it so well.
+1
if videographer it’s videographer snowing, it’s freaking cold. (yeah, I know about 36 degrees) and windy. So a long wool tartan skirt is perfect for that weather. A short one would just freeze videographer your gazooties off. Now, to find a big piece of tartan wool around the house, and pretend it’s snowing.
Boo
I love this look. Festive, videographer flattering, and actually warm! I am so tired of female celebrities with bare legs or bare arms or coatless while standing next to a man who is completely bundled up and dressed appropriately for the weather…as if a) a woman’s looks are more important than her basic comfort; b) a woman can only be attractive if she is showing skin and c) these rules in no way apply to men.

Dr.. Botha comment on

Several new board members had nothing to do with the dismal financial position the Kouga Municipality finds itself, but Mr. Mate does. He, among others, was the last Mayoral (in my tail that swings the dog), the committee under whose watch us into this mess.
Dr.. Nico Botha (DA) to ask what's going on with the R26 million "land sales" that did not materialize. Previously it was pointed out that potential revenue from the sale of land can not be regarded as a given with the drafting of a budget.
The opposition object to the revised budget's cuts of 48% (!) On infrastructure maintenance and want the item should be referred to the Executive eid 2013 Mayor. It will be refused and said that there will be asked for provincial and national "intervention" as a project of the President under his own chairmanship.
In the same meeting a report of the Auditor-General presented with damning figures on irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure of millions of rand. So there is (again) not enough money for infrastuktuurinstandhouding, but the misappropriation of millions reigns a grave silence. eid 2013
Speaking of infrastructure, according to municipal spokesman's our water is safe to drink, but I repeatedly see red [read mud] as my white laundry bundle with brown stains come out of the washing machine!
Dr.. Botha comment on "councilor allowances", which Mr. Stuurman want to know why Botha sets it apart as it is only a small part of the budget. This discussion was "finish eid 2013 and finish".
And to Mr. Phumzile Oliphant (ANC) asked me: What do you mean when you said that the "Poorest of the Poor" willing "to sacrifice projects eid 2013 in their own wards" for the sake of the bigger picture? Know the poorest of the poor on their behalf that said that projects in their wards will be sacrificed?
So a deficit eid 2013 of R26 million to be lightly dismissed, millions of rands misappropriated, questions about board members' salaries are undesirable, but the poorest of the poor should clearly projects in their wards sacrifice to the Kouga Municipality of the financial predicament for which the poor certainly was not responsible.
